Perfect Love
The need to be loved and accepted is universal. The kind of love we want is unconditional, and unlimited, but, the need for love is so strong we often settle forms of love that are neither of these.
People who feel loved and accepted are the most secure and creative people there are. People who feel unloved are the most insecure and uninspired people there are. Having the confidence that we are loved is one of the most powerful forces in the human experience.
Our longing for love comes from the deepest part of our nature. We are created by God, in His image and God is love. Our capacity to love and be loved is always looking for fulfillment. The only way we will ever realize this fulfillment is in God, and the only way to God is through Jesus Christ God's Son.
In God we no longer need to fear judgement, being alone, or death. In fact,
we don't have to fear anything. God's love is liberating and
empowering and it's available to all who believe in His Son, Jesus.
God's love is so powerful that after receiving it for ourselves we can give it to
others bringing liberty and peace to them as well. Spread the Love.
"There is no fear in love and perfect love casts out all fear." 1 John 4:18
Personal Space
"Personal Space" is described as that area around us that when encroached upon by another person causes anxiety in us. Only a select few people, such as spouses or children, are permitted into that space.
It's thought to be, primarily, a defense mechanism. That space is about the span of ones ability to reach or be reached by another person. Keep people out and we're safe, in and we're threatened. This is nothing more than fear. But, there is no fear in Love and God is Love and we are in Him.
We, the Church, are the Body of Christ in His absence and though He was comfortable with people in His personal space, while Here on Earth, we aren't always so open. There are accounts in the Gospels where Jesus was thronged by the curious and needy and He never turned them away. He intentionally put Himself out there, making Himself available to them so He could love and heal them.
We love the people where we go to church and that's good. The problem is that
we are so into each other that the hurting come and go unnoticed, unloved and
unchanged by His love. In John 14:12 Jesus says we're to do what He did.
Remember Jesus leaves the 99 (the saved & familiar) to go after the one.
If we expand our Personal Space, include others we don't know, overcomong the
anxiety (fear) of making the first move in connecting with them, we'll get Jesus love
all over them and the miracles will follow. Blessings.
Breakthrough Revival
Through the streets of our city it's flowing. From a breach in the levee that was built by man, it's bubbling, eroding away the earthen walls intended to contain and control it. Our city was positioned precisely in the path of its flow, it was divine destiny. This "City of God" was destined to be inundated by it. It was only a matter of time. Those earthen walls are no match for the power they try to contain.
The power I'm speaking of is the Presence of our God. Some call the effect of His free flowing presence Revival. There's been a shaking, a trembling in the Earth. This shaking has been caused by the prayer and worship of God's people as they say yes to the drawing of the Spirit of God.
The shaking has caused the breach and once the breach has
occurred the gap will grow wider and the flow greater. The levee is
religion. Religion has always tried to manage God, to contain Him and
make him servant to it rather than to submit to Him and His Lordship. It's
here, Revival.
Get ready to be swept away.
