A Word to the Church - August 18, 2020

What follows is the transcription of a word the Lord gave me for the Church, the Bride, the Body of Christ, on August 18, 2020, at 4:29 a.m. I've released on Facebook, and shared it with the body at Four Seasons Christian Fellowship, in Turlock California. I thought to include it here, as a Pastor's Corner blog entry, so people can access at their leisure.

"Arise My bride, awaken, for I am coming and that very soon, says the Lord.

It will seem like only days compared the time since I gave you the promise of my return, the time that I ascended back to the right hand of the Father.

I'm calling to my Church, my bride, awake! Awake and arise from your slumber for I the Lord have arisen. My enemies are trembling at the sight of my rising, they arise and gnash their teeth against me rather than humbling themselves before me and in their fierce Pride they stand against me.

In their anger against me they lash out against you, my people, but I will not be still, no, my hand is against them, and is for you, my people.

It is time for my people to arise from their slumber, from their stupor, from their drunken state.

Now is the time for you to ask of me, 'Oh God, where are the promises that you have made toward us, where is your power as we have seen it so many years ago.'

It is time for you to remember who you are, what your legacy is. You are my people, says the Lord, a people of promise, and a people of Destiny, the people that I have chosen, a holy people, not of this world, whose garments I have made white by the blood of my precious Son, and your savior, Jesus Christ the mighty.

Do not fear, for I have not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Control your thoughts says the Lord, you are not like those who have no help, for I have given you my Holy Spirit to live inside of you, and He is faithful to do the things that I tell Him to do for you.

When you are awake and when you arise, then you will see that I have arisen. I'm standing and I'm ready to move. But from your place of comfort, from you place of slumber, you do not see me, you are not aware that I have arisen and am ready to move forward to lead you into you purpose for being alive in these times, says the Lord.

Awaken, arise, for I am on the move, and I am calling my people forward and they will see my glory as I trample out my vintage underneath my feet, says the Lord."
